SAN LUIS OBISPO TO SANTA CRUZ

 

This morning we did a short walking tour of San Luis Obispo.

 

 

 

History Center

 

Downtown Shopping Mall

 

Frank Lloyd Wright Building

 

 

PASO ROBLES
 

About noon we drove to Paso Robles and walked around town.

Flea Market & Farmer's Market in Town Square

 

 

David bought grapes and tomatos at the Farmer's Market. We then found a cheese shop and bakery to add cheese and a bagette for lunch.

 

 

 

We ate our lunch on the patio of the Vivant Cheese Store and Deli.

 

 

 

Mid afternoon we drove up Highway 101 to Salinas and then on to Santa Cruz.

We had an excellent Italian dinner in Downtown Santa Cruz at Cafe Mare.

Amtrak Station

David rode Amtrak from San Jose to San Luis Obispo today and I met him at the train station.

 

We checked into the Lexington Inn and then had dinner at an Irish Pub near the hotel and watched the Giants play the Cardinals in Game #5 of the NLCS. The Giants won and Game #6 will be played in San Francisco on Sunday.
