DAY #10

CAPE COD

This morning I drove east on Rt. 6 from Hyannis to Eastham and hiked two of the local trails.

I found it interesting that there are special features for the blind on this trail. Signs are in braile and the blind are encourged to take in the sounds and smells and to touch the trees that are described. There is a rope fence along the trail and the blind can hold onto the rope as they progress.

There are signs along this trail identifying the various plants and trees.

Plymouth Rock

The rock is part of the monument shown above. From the center of the monument one can look down at the rock. It is not very large or impressive, but it is probably about the place where the Pilgrams landed.
