DAY #2
This day was devoted to BASEBALL.
Got to Fenway Park 2 hours before the game and had a chance to explore the area.
Several streets are closed off around the ballpark selling food, programs, and Red Sox items at lower prices than inside the ballpark.
The famous Green Monster

It was a great pitching duel. The Red Sox won 2-1 over Baltimore and
Cody Ross hit a double in the bottom of the 8th inning with a man on, driving in the winning run!!
It was a perfect fall day for baseball.
Afterward, I walked from Fenway to the Boston Commons and back via Commonwealth Avenue and Newbury Street with great shopping and restaurants.
In the evening I drove back to the hotel restaurant and had a great meal while watching 60 Minutes.
Chicken gumbo soup, garden burger, and Samuel Adams beer

Glad you got to see a Red Sox victory because they are hard to come by these days ... at least in Oakland! I love this place. Hope you sang "Sweet Caroline". ;-)
